We need your help to repair our sports hall roof! Storm Goretti has caused significant damage to our building and we are unable to open the sports hall.

St Just Sports Centre is an independent charity focused on providing fitness and sports to the much loved community of St Just and West Cornwall. We are highly valued by our community, particularly our neighbours Cape Cornwall School and the Brambles Nursery - who frequently rely on our sports facilities.

Despite our best efforts on the night during storm Goretti, unfortunately high winds ripped holes into two sides of the roof which now need emergency repair. As a result of this, there is also water damage which requires immediate attention.

Now more than ever, we need the help from our local community to not only help fund the roof repair, but to support us with their expertise, or free time! We have a wonderful bunch of volunteers who keep us open and they're support is greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, the roof is currently uninsured. A couple of years ago, it was damaged during a previous storm and only a temporary repair could be carried out at the time.

That repair was intended to last around 2–4 years, but because it was classed as temporary, it meant the roof could not be insured. Since then - it was, and still is our long-term goal to raise enough funds to fully replace the roof, but this latest storm has sadly struck before we were able to reach that point.
