Roof repairs completed, sports centre reopen again

The roof repairs were completed last Wednesday, but we experienced some minor leaks for a few days afterwards, so we wanted to wait until we were confident the issue was fully resolved before updating you.

We’re really pleased to share that there are now no further leaks in the sports hall, and we’ll continue to monitor the situation closely over the coming weeks. Thankfully, there has been no damage to the sports hall flooring as a result of the storm, and we are now fully open again as normal.

We can’t thank you enough for the incredible generosity and support we’ve received from the community. It genuinely means so much to all of us. Thanks to your donations, we’ve raised £7,000 towards the roof repairs. The total cost of the work is around £12,000, and without your support this would have had a significant impact on the centre’s finances. Because of you, we’re able to stay open, recover from the storm damage, and continue working towards improving and modernising the sports centre for the whole community.

The fundraiser will remain open for anyone who would still like to contribute or share. Every donation, no matter the size, helps us move closer to covering the full cost of the repairs and safeguarding the future of the centre.
